I am an artist working as a relief and intaglio printmaker, and as a painter in pastel and oil.

My art is at the intersection of culture and nature. 

I learned printmaking and traditional painting techniques from master artists in Mexico. What interested me most about this journey was the interconnection of human and animal, culture and nature, from ancient times to the present, in Mexican art and culture. 

I explore human interconnectedness with nature and our impact upon it.  I consider the question of where I fit into both my natural and cultural worlds. What is my mythology, and my message in the world?  I want my art to convey both the wonder and gratitude I feel for nature, but also to mark human relationships with each other and with all that is in the world.  How does my story, how do our stories, relate to the land, the sky, the animals and plants, and how do we then relate to each other?
